Don’t buy this program!
The Vertical Project
This is another very popular program. The main reason why it’s so well known is because the author, Luke Lowrey, is an excellent marketer. If you take a look at some of the things he writes on his sales page you will probably immediately see that The Vertical Project is a scam. Unless you are incredibly overweight or you have very little training experience, it is very unlikely that you will double your vertical jump.
Here is an excerpt from his sales page that I thought was pretty funny:
Luke Lowrey’s accidental discovery of a mathematical set-and-rep formula for easily increasing anyone’s vertical jump has been hailed as: “the greatest advance in vertical jumping technology”; “the defining point between performance enhancement of yesterday and performance enhancement of tomorrow”, and even… “worthy of a Nobel prize”.
Worthy of a nobel prize? I’m sure we would have heard about it had it been worthy of a nobel prize. Also, there’s no such thing as a “mathematical set and rep formula”. Training comes down to generalities and varies for each person. There is no magic number when it comes to reps and sets. The best thing you can do is try to find a program that will tailor to your needs like The Jump Manual or The Vertical Jump Bible.
I will admit that I got pulled into the hype over The Vertical Project for a while. In fact, I even promoted it for some time on this very site. However, I now realize that I made a big mistake by not taking the time to fully analyze it and make sure it was worthy of your time and money. Fortunately, no one bought the program from my site so I can breathe a sigh of relief for now.
Anyway, I hope you can see the marketing tactics that this guy uses to get you to buy into his system (literally and figuratively). It’s pretty sad that so many people are getting sucked in by his lies and promises of vertical jump glory. Hopefully, you’ll see that The Vertical Project is nothing more than a scam like I did. There are other great programs out there that will go way beyond what the Vertical Project has to offer.
Also, it appears that Luke Lowrey is promoting a device called the Squat Flex. My advice to you regarding this product is DO NOT BUY IT!! I’ll have more information for you soon about this product and why you shouldn’t waste $297 on this thing.
