Burpees are a unique exercise that seem to be growing in popularity. One of the major things that makes burpees so useful is the fact that they really help involve the entire body instead of just one area. Use this exercise to build full body strength as well as stamina.

To perform the burpees exercise, start in a fully upright standing position. Squat down and place your hands flat on the floor about shoulder width apart. Next, kick your legs out so that your body is in a push-up position. Follow that by quickly pulling your legs back forward so that you’re back in the squatting position. Finish the burpees exercise by jumping up as high as you can out of the squat position.

If you want to add a little intensity, try adding in an actual push-up before you kick your legs forward. The burpees exercise is a bit hard to explain with words so I’ll put a video down at the bottom. If the exercise is too hard for you at first, try slowly walking your legs out to the push-up position rather than kicking them out. Gradually build up the speed as your stamina and strength get better.
